Continue to implement and update the Freight Mobility and Trade Plan (FMTP)

Identify and accelerate investments in trade gateways, corridors, and intermodal logistics centers to support growth in global trade.

  • Increase transportation connectivity between Florida’s economic centers and regions
  • Increase transportation connectivity between Florida and global and national trading partners and visitor origin markets

 

Develop transportation strategies to support growth in visitor activity

  • Metropolitan Planning Organization Advisory Council
  • Visit Florida

Better document transportation needs and preferences of visitors, and transportation strategies needed to sustain long-term growth in visitor activity.

Develop a statewide transportation workforce strategy

Document future demands for transportation-related workers (including changing skill requirements to reflect new technologies and logistics practices) and identify strategies for meeting these needs.

Improve efficiency of transportation regulatory transactions
